10. About VelourLabs

VelourLabs is a freelance collective, not a company.

VelourLabs is not, nor does it purport to be, a legally incorporated entity, partnership, or association recognized under any statutory framework, domestic or international. Rather, it is an operationally decentralized, digitally-native studio brand that serves as a representative identity for a globally distributed consortium of highly qualified independent practitioners. These contributors—each operating under their own legal and tax jurisdictions—are unified not by legal structure, but by a shared commitment to excellence in digital craftsmanship, encompassing UI/UX design, web development, creative direction, branding, and related digital services.

The term "VelourLabs" should be interpreted exclusively as a curated collective moniker, employed for purposes of brand coherence, design presentation, and streamlined client experience. It is a stylized umbrella under which freelance professionals collaborate on a per-project basis. All services offered through this identity are rendered by independent contractors who retain full autonomy over their respective business operations.

Engagements executed under the VelourLabs banner do not constitute transactions with a singular legal entity. Instead, clients enter into contractual agreements with the individual service providers or small teams involved. Any legally binding documentation—such as statements of work, invoices, NDAs, or service agreements—will clearly indicate the legal identity of the contracting party. VelourLabs itself cannot, and does not, act as a party to contracts, hold assets, or assume liability.

This structure affords maximal flexibility, cross-border talent collaboration, and a boutique studio experience—without the administrative encumbrance or regulatory compliance obligations associated with centralized corporate entities. While the user experience and branding may reflect a high level of cohesion and consistency, clients should understand that such polish is the result of deliberate creative organization, not centralized incorporation.

All mentions of “VelourLabs” throughout this website, in communications, and in deliverables, are to be understood within the framework of this flexible, distributed, and professional alliance. This language is binding on all users of this platform.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. However, since VelourLabs is a decentralized, international team, legal jurisdictions may vary on a case-by-case basis depending on the project lead and client agreement.
